Leofoo Village Theme Park

Hello again!
After all those sleepless nights of staying up late to study for midterms,
I was on my last legs when I finished the last midterm on Friday.
(Correction: last midterm in November, there's still 1 midterm to go in 2 weeks time)

So, how's my midterm?
Oh. Econs and Mandarin were okay. Calculus was bad.
And Programming was...pathetic. I could only do 1 out of 6 questions lol
And I asked myself: "Do those sleepless nights really worth it?!"

Anyway, Saturday was definitely the right time to relieve stress.
Immediately, we came to a decision to go to:

Leofoo Village Theme Park
on November 19, 2016

Leofoo Village Theme Park (六福村主題遊樂園) is raved as
one of the best and biggest theme parks in Taiwan.
It is a combination of Amusement Park and a Safari, and is uniquely parted into
4 theme areas: "Wild West", "South Pacific", "Arabian Kingdom" and African Safari".
This theme park in located in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, which is about an hour drive from Taipei, and only a half hour drive from National Tsing Hua University.
Alas, there is a direct bus from Zhong Li to Leofoo, but none from Hsinchu to Leofoo.
So, we decided to take 2 cabs which cost NT3,200 for NTHU-Leofoo round trip.
We set out at about 8:30 and arrived at Leofoo at 9 a.m.

*Flash back to the night before, thank the stars Jodico found a Leofoo discount voucher on the street while strolling around the uni at night, it could be used for the purchase of maximum 4 tickets for NT499/ticket.
The actual price for 1 adult is NT999, but we managed to get 4 tickets of NT499
with the voucher and 3 tickets of NT550 with Student ID. Yeah!

The entrance of Leofoo Village Theme Park
It wasn't very crowded that day, so we didn't queue too long for each ride.
The longest queue was only 1 hour and it was for Judgment of Anubis, which in my opinion is really NOT worth the wait. Escaping out of the room while avoiding the lasers even in "Expert" mode was too easy it didn't take up to 3 minutes.

老油井 (Old Oil Well)

Screaming Condor - definitely worth the wait!
The two rides above were thrilling!

We had our lunch at a burger joint in "South Pacific".
I ordered a 套餐 (Meal Package) of Shrimp Burger + Fries + Drink for NT189.
The burger was in a class by itself though, the bun used was mantou (Chinese steamed bun).

 Christmas tree, Christmas vibe
We didn't have enough time to go to the Safari because it's closed at 16:30.
Thus, we merely took photos before the whole park eventually closed at 17:00.

For finale, we rode the Carousel

If truth be told, the theme park has only a few exciting and scary rides.
Most rides were easy peasy and weren't hair-rising at all, so I think Leofoo Village Theme Park is more suitable for young children and those who seek wide variety of kiddy rides! Haha
I would recommend you guys to try these few rides though: Screaming Condor, Pagoda's Revenge, Mighty Mountain Flume Adventure, Old Oil Well, and Deep Sea Adventure.

Til next time,
Pris
